What are Louisiana’s laws concerning homeschooled students?

Information regarding homeschooling in Louisiana can be found here.  (Includes information about diplomas, playing sports, etc)

  1. Can I register my child for certain subjects only?  AIM High is full time only. Because we are a homeschool, our school day is already shorter than what is found in more traditional public and private schools. For students looking for homeschooling assistance for specific subjects, AIM High offers private sessions for after school tutoring through Above The Limit where your child can have personal 1 on 1 sessions with our educators.

  2. How much does it cost to send my child to AIM High?  There is a $300 registration fee that also includes books/curriculum.  Tuition is $4500 per year, broken into TWELVE monthly payments of $375. Tuition for each school year is charged from August through July of each year.

  3. Does Louisiana require homeschools to be accredited?  Louisiana does NOT require homeschools to be accredited. AIM High is a private homeschool.  Students are registered by their parents with the state, who then hire us to teach their children.

  4. How do I register my child with the state of Louisiana as a homeschool student?  The application to register your child is found here.

  5. What curriculum is used at AIM High? AIM High will primarily use the Bob Jones Curriculum, a sustained curriculum of quality at least equal to that offered by public schools at the same grade level. Our Staff at AIM High is more than equipped and qualified to provide instruction and mentorship that will guide each student through their high school journey from grades 9 - 12 to college and/or career.
